The year is tumbling to a close...

I don't mind working 7 days a week, I think, although annoying that I didn't do my show, the Barcelona break did me a lot of good. It also helps that I love teaching drums, especially at this time of year because it's all Christmas songs!

The days are going quickly, alongside all of the lessons, I performed another house show - another performance of Many Cars, this time is worked well, and FH are back in rehearsals for the forthcoming shows. I've got gigs left this year with 5 different bands.

But, as always, teaching Christmas songs signals one thing: this year is tumbling to a close. Not that I should complain...it's been a good year with plenty of adventures, but my mind is very much in 2026 now. New shows are being booked for next year, with three festivals already confirmed, writing a new show for Alex and Nicole, launching ESBAD (Everyone Should Be A Drummer), band gigs filling up. Just seen a trailer for the film I was in a few months ago, that looks great and will do the movie festival circuit. Much to be excited about, but as my fringe applications go in and the schedule fills...is this progress? Does it have to be progress? I'll have a think on my next day off, December 22nd...
